I just got back from the convention and I have the new 2011 membership cards for the Legion and S.A.L.  You will be receiving your first notice soon, so send in your due’s early to become eligible for the early bird drawing on October 14th.  The Post will pick 10 winners whose dues will be paid by the Post for 2012.

During the months of August and September all beer and mixed drinks will be discounted 25 cents, all day, every day.

We have had several complaints about cancelling Saturday night dinners at the last second.  As I said before, you must call up and make reservations in advance.  If you do not call before noon on Friday and we only have 10 or 15 reservations then we must cancel.  I apologize to the people who do call but you can’t expect the Chef to put in a full day’s work and not make any money.

We will have our Labor Day Bar-B-Que on September 6th and the price is still $8.00 ALL-U-CAN-EAT.  I urge all members to support your Post and attend our Post functions.  If you can volunteer to help out at the Bar-B-Que give me a call at the Post.
