LADIES AUXILIARY
Well,
it's June already (so soon) and our Legion Aux year ends. The new officers will
not be elected until after the deadline for this article, so the list will be
announced next month. Also, next month, the Department convention will be held
July 5th to 8th in Orlando at the Rosen Centre Hotel 407 996-9840 for
reservations ... or talk to Ken Rourke.
There are no Aux meetings during July and August, however, we will still be
doing our hors d' ouevres on the first and second Friday of each month and
donations (and volunteers) are always needed, especially during the summer. So,
c'mon ladies, make a casserole, salad or whatever you like to make ... they will
eat it! Call Carol Dehne (758-2003) and let her know what you will bring, prox a
week in advance.
Thanks to all who helped with Poppy Days. As usual, the people in the Jupiter
area were cooperative and generous and we can be proud to be helping our
veterans, especially the wounded returning from Iraq who will probably be
needing our help for some time to come.
