Legionnaire's,

            Myself and several Officers of the Post and Ladies Auxiliary attended the Dept. of Florida Convention on July 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. I have the new 2008 membership cards for both the Legion and S. A. L. Remember to mail your renewals in early to be eligible for the Early Bird Drawing on Nov. 9th. We will pick 10 winners whose dues will be paid for the year 2009.

I want to thank the Sea Cadets. Their Officers and Families for putting on a great 4th of July Bar-B-Que. I also wish to thank our Chef and 1st Vice Commander, Bruce Blumemstein, for his help in preparing and cooking the food.

Speaking of Bar-B-Que's, let us not forget our Labor Day Bar-B-Que on Sept 3rd, noon to 5pm, $7.00 all U-Call-eat. If you can volunteer to help at the Bar-B-Que get in touch with me of one of the Post Officers.

Our Installation of Officers Dinner is scheduled for Aug. 25th at 7pm. Reservations are required.

            The Post recently spent $3000.00 for new chairs for our Hall and Lounge Area. We are now looking into buying new Bar Stools for the Lounge. We discussed it at our last Executive Committee Meeting and hopefully will have decided on the new stool before our next meeting.
