Legionnaire's,

I would like to take this time to offer every member of this post and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

With over a thousand members of this Post, including Ladies Auxiliary and S.A.L., I was sad to see the poor turnout for our Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11th.  Counting the Officers and Color Guard members, we had about 50 people in attendance.  Several members expressed to me how well the ceremony went and how much they appreciated the buffet breakfast afterwards.  Sgt. of the Color Guard, Norm Fickett, had the Color Guard looking sharp and the rifle team was outstanding.

The Jupiter/Tequesta Christmas Parade will be held on December 9th at 1PM this year.  As usual our Color Guard will be leading off the Parade, so come on out and cheer them on.

Our Christmas Party will be held on December 22nd at 8PM.  As in prior years, if you want to receive a gift you must bring a gift for the same gender.

Our New Year’s Eve Party will be held on Monday, December 31st from 9PM-1AM.  Reservations are required.   See ad in the newsletter.

Our Thanksgiving Dinner was well attended and a good meal was had by all.  I would like to thank everyone who donated food and money and to the volunteers who helped make everything run smoothly.

On another note, Legionnaire Ed McKeon recently transferred into our Post and would like to help any member of the Post in filing claims with the VA.  Ed is the Legion representative at the West Palm Beach VAMC.  He will be available on the 3rd Saturday of each month between 9AM and 11AM in the Post lounge.

As I am also the Canteen Manager, this is to inform you that there will be a modest increase on all drinks and food.  This increase is because all our venders have increased their prices on all the products they sell to us.
