We had our final nomination of officers at our May 14th meeting.

The Commander will appoint the Post Service Officer, Adjutant, Asst. Adjutant and Judge Advocate.

 

Nominations for the Post Executive Committee are Bob Marley, Wally Mello, Bob Dymerski and Charlie Peters.

 

Since all officers ran unopposed, there will be no need to have elections for this coming year.  At the June 11th meeting the Post Adjutant will cast one vote for each nominated officer and executive committeemen and the Commander shall declare them officially elected.

 

Our Annual Golf Tournament was the best one to date.  It was a sellout with 116 golfers participating.  We raised approximately $6,800.00 for our Children And Youth Programs.  I would like to thank the Golf Committee consisting of Bob Markin, Ed Corton, Russ Snyder, John Krop and all the volunteers who helped make this such a special event.

 

In this month’s newsletter you will see a list of local businesses who supported the Gold Tournament by providing a gift or sponsoring a hole.  Please frequent these businesses and thank them for supporting this Legion program.

 

A special thank you to Legionnaire Tony Villanucci of “American Fulfillment and Direct Mail” our Legion printing company, for his generous donation of 116 hard cover books called “Medal Of Honor”, a history of the Medal of Honor and some of its recipients.  Each golfer received a book.

 

We had a full house at our Police Awards Dinner this year.  The three officers from Juno Beach, Jupiter and Tequesta each received a plaque and a certificate of appreciation from the Post.

 

We will have our Flag Day Ceremony on Saturday June 13th at 11AM.
