Dear Commander and Members,
Now your American Legion Post can save you money when the Veteran or spouse dies. Please send or bring in a copy of your DD-214 and a copy of your marriage license. The new National Cemetery has a crematory on premise, which is free. Upon death of the Veteran or spouse, the Post will call the National Cemetery (649-6489) and make all the arrangements. All the Veteran or spouse will have to pay for is transporting of the body. The Post needs a total of 5 copies of the Veteran’s DD-214.
