When I see the car transport trucks all over town, I know our Northern friends are back and the holiday season is upon us.
Our annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony will be held on November 11th at 11 A.M. in the Post hall. There will be a free buffet to follow. I urge all members to attend.
Thanksgiving Dinner will be served to all members and their families on November 26th from 2PM to 4PM. A sign-up sheet will be in the Post Lounge for anyone who would like to donate food or money for this worthy cause. As usual volunteers will be needed to set up and break down before and after the dinner. If you can help see me or Chef Bill, thank you.
The Saturday following Thanksgiving we will have our “Thanks Again Dinner”. Everything left over from Thanksgiving will be put out again free of charge. Volunteers are also needed at this event.
At our October 8th meeting we picked the 10 winners of the “Early Bird Drawing.” They are as follows – John L. Worcester, John M. Kennedy, George J. Monusky, Joe Guardino, William J. Bennett, Francis J. Simpson, Donald E. Francisco, Charles C. Waddle, Leonard D. Wakefield and James Leyden. These 10 members will not have to pay their 2011 dues. As I mentioned in the last newsletter our S.A.L. dues are coming in slowly, so please A.S.A.P.
